Following her positions as Market Research Director at Ameritech and First Chicago, Jackie Short affiliated with Monogram to provide exceptional quality and individualized market research service to Monogram clients.
Her professional credentials include both qualitative and quantitative research. She has extensive experience in brand image development, customer satisfaction, new product development, customer segmentation, employee surveys, advertising message development and copy testing. Her background includes the use of computer-aided multi-variant analysis including factor analysis, conjoint analysis and cluster analysis.
Relevant experience includes branding work for Ameritech, most importantly the research for the transition from many regional sub-brands (such as Wisconsin Bell) to the umbrella Ameritech brand. New product and line extension work includes:
Ameritech’s entries into home security systems (SecurityLink), cable television (Ameritech New Media); product and line extension research for Auntie Anne’s Pretzels resulting in diversification into cookie and ice cream brands; and product extension research for the University of Chicago’s continuing education program.
Jackie serves on the Steering Committee for the Arts Marketing Center (a division of the Arts and Business Council of Chicago) and has guest lectured on market research at schools ranging from Northern Illinois University to The School of The Art Institute. She earned her MBA degree from Loyola University in Chicago. Her undergraduate degree is from University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana with majors in history and English literature.
