Scott Markman

Scott has nearly 45 years of experience with clients in a diverse array of sectors, including consumer products, healthcare, industrial products, technology, retail, financial and professional services, and the arts.

He has worked in private equity since 1996, when he created the Antares Capital brand from Day One. Since then, he has worked with 100 PE sector clients, including sponsors, credit providers, family wealth offices and industry consultants. In addition, he has worked with nearly 50 PE portfolio companies, covering industrial manufacturers, industrial services and distributors, professional and financial services, and healthcare sector companies.

Scott has been featured in Pensions & Investments, PEI, The Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age, ARD German TV, Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago Business, China Daily USA, CNBC, Forbes.com, Industry Week, NPR, The Atlantic, WGN Radio, Xinhua (China’s press agency), Women’s Wear Daily and Yahoo! Finance. In 2013, Scott also appeared on the AMC reality series The Pitch.

Scott earned his B.F.A. with a concentration in Marketing from WashU in 1981.
