Among their many beer stories, Scott and Jarrett discuss his career path and deciding to create his own PE firm in his early 30s, with a quite different and thoughtful approach to investing and value creation. He also shares a few insights about prerequisites to pursuing PE as a career, including an appetite for entrepreneurial risk taking and math proficiency.

Jarrett’s Bio
Jarrett Turner is Soundcore’s Founder and Managing Partner. Having worked in the private equity industry since 2007, he founded Soundcore Capital Partners in 2015. He is involved in all aspects of the firm’s activities, including directing Soundcore’s investment strategy and decisions, governance, fundraising, and investor relations, and leading the investment and portfolio company functions. Jarrett received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Colgate University.
